  1. makes cats hyper! its like our chocolate to them! they LOVE it!

  2. it feeds the cat

  3. Cat's go wild for it, they roll on it, rub up against it or eat it. They wind up looking pretty spaced out!

If you have a cat, buy a bag toy with cat nip in and watch kitty play.

I buy my cat milk/cat nip drops and he loves them. He eats them and then rolls on what is left and just purrs and purrs!

And then the odd thing is, after half an hour or so, he just up and walks away as if he were never interested! Apparently, that is the normal behavior!

  14. "Catnip" is the common name for a perennial herb of the mint family.Although no one knows exactly what happens in the cat's brain, it is known that the chemical nepetalactone in catnip is the thing that triggers the response. Apparently, it somehow kicks off a stereotypical pattern in cats that are sensitive to the chemical. The catnip reaction is inherited, and some cats are totally unaffected by it. Large cats like tigers can be sensitive to it as well.
