  1. The answer is D. Cholesterol is made of steroids and alcohol therefore it does not make steroids (A wrong). Cholesterol is a lipid, and lipids are  not made of amino acids but rather made of fatty acids.(B wrong) atheroscelerosis is a heart disorder caused by buildup of plaque in the arteries. Plaque is made up of fat, cholesterol, calcium, and other substances found in the blood therefore (C wrong) D is right because saturated fatty acids play a role in the fluidity of lipid bilayers. Too many of them reduce fluidity. Cholesterol plays the same role as saturated fatty acids, it decreases fluidity therefore (D right). it is also noteworthy to mention that UNsaturated fatty acids increase fluidity because hey have a nick is one of their tails caused by the double bond in unsaturated fats.
