I was reading a label and it said contains - EC Permitted Preservative and Colourant? Does this mean natural coloring/flavours or what?

  1. it is the standard that is allowed

  2. It means that they can preserve it with chemicals that 'probably' won't hurt you, color it unnaturally that hopefully won't poison you and flavor it with more chemicals.

They also use more chemicals to water it down then thicken it up so they make more money. It can have a longer shelf life and can be shipped further.

It means that they are in business, not to feed you, but to feed them!
