What exactly does cortisol during puberty? If you where producing a reduced amount of cortisol by a little bit through out puberty how would it affect you? Would it affect your development, height, p***s size or anything like that?

  1. Addison's is so uncommon that even a pediatric endocrinologist probably won't have a lot of experience with it, and the rest of us are just guessing, but I'd think there should be no problems except that the widely varying activity levels, growth, and fairly frequent minor illnesses of the age group would be a challenge in terms of regulating the dosage of replacement hormones. And adolescents aren't known for their dietary discretion, either. Fatigue would be a common problem but again clouded a bit. That age group aren't known for wanting to jump out of bed early on a Saturday to clean their rooms. Otherwise, I don't think development is going to be a problem.

  2. Cortisol has to do with metabolism, so during puberty it makes sure that you are digesting at the correct pace. It has nothing to do with the sexual organs, which means that a lack of it wont affect p***s size or growth or anything like that. It may simply make it easier to gain weight. Like most hormones, if a deficiency is recognised, then replacements can be given which have the same results as having the hormone.
