  1. There are good policeman out there, and then there are ones that are out there for the power play.

There are certain rules that people have to go by...that I understand.

But there are people that are good people who have done stupid things and are having their lives ruined because they didn't do what the courts wanted them to do.

I don't know about what assisted suicide tells us...I have never had that kind of situation. I guess that the officials have to stand behind what the law is, because those are the oaths that they have taken.

I know that the law can't take every single person and their lives and character into consideration...that would take a lifetime. But there are times when it's pretty clear that certain people shouldn't be in a criminal situation. If it were their mom or sister or friend or relative that did something stupid...you can bet there would be an out if they so wanted it to be so.

I doubt that I answered your question directly, but you get the gist.

  2. If you have a lot of money you can buy justice.

  3. This is illegal, and shows that, human life is held in the highest concern under the law.

  4. That's a tricky question. I don't think that assisted suicide tells us anything about crime in general. Assisted suicide is nothing more than a mercy crime for which many countries do not consider it a crime. The US however truly feels that the government should be the only one to decide when it is a persons time to die. If anything, assisted suicide tells us that not all crimes are bad in nature. Some crimes are nothing more than a difference in the popular opinion. I for one totally support assisted suicides. Why we allow someone (a vet)  to decide when an animal should be put down based on the desire to spare them from severe pain, but doctors, patients and family can't make the same decision about people?? That is ridiculous!
