  1. Curry powder usually includes coriander, turmeric, cumin, and fenugreek, additional ingredients such as ginger, garlic, fennel seed, cinnamon, clove, mustard seed, green cardamom, black cardamom, mace, nutmeg, red pepper, long pepper, and black pepper may also be added.  It is very aromatic and has a  distinct spicy taste.  I love it West Indian style with goat and Thai style with chicken.  I wouldn't suggest it for those who can't tolerate well seasoned foods.

  2. Like c**p.   Ever smell inside a newspaper stand?  They reek of curry.

  3. It tastes like...a lot of spices but not necessarily a lot of heat. Like a savory version of cinnamon and cloves and just a whole lot of great flavors. The kind I've had tastes like that anyway. Really good.

  4. the flavor is unique and distinct., and very aromatic...kind of pungent.

    I like curry chicken.

  5. My bf owns an asian resturaunt and we make Curry Chicken here, i think its wonderful i eat it every day. Its a unique flavor, and you can make it as spicy or non spicy as you like.

    The way we make it.

Has big chunks of carrots potatos and chicken in a lightly spicy curry sauce ( we make it lightly spicy so its palatble to everyone.

    * i would definatly suggest curry chicken

What i suggest is going to your local grocery store, and looking for a package called golden curry.. it helps make the sauce.. then you can fry up  or boil the chicken carrots and potatos.. and add some of your fav hot sauce i suggest sriracha

  6. there are MANY variations of curry, but in general, i would call it a pungent, spicy, usually garlicy taste.

  7. It's great!  If you like things with tons of flavor.  Yellow Curry, I'm gonna say, is the "beginner" curry.- of course varying hottness at each restaurant differs- you usually have a choice.

Don't go on a date and eat curry unless you really know the person you are dating well because you will smell.

If you take on cooking it, your house will smell like India- or the Orient for 3 days.

Totally worth it though- just wanna give you a heads up.

  8. I lke curry as wel.  It has a bit spicy, a bit smoky flavor.  It's very unique compared to the spices we typically use in American food, but it's worth trying.  You may find you love it.

  9. There are many varieties of curry.  The general thing is they are spicy and varying in hotness.  Then it depends whether it is lamb, beef, chicken or vegetable curry.  Just try some!

  10. This is a good question but it is hard to answer.  Each culture that uses curry has their own kinds that are typically used for certain foods.  Curry is a mixture of powdered spices.  It is generally full of flavor and varying in spiciness.

I have experienced red, yellow, and green curries.  One thing that struck me about the green curry I had was a noticeable plant-like flavor that is not present in other curries that I have tried.  I would suggest exploring some quality restaurants with ethnic food from India, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand.  Perhaps you could go with friends and order different things and share.
