  2. It comes from a Hawwaiian expression used originally

    by surfers... sort of a slang / pidegeon English version of

    "The Kind" meaning very good, "the real deal", exceptional.

  3. dakine is just a name. It is based in hood river oregon. they make soft goods such as beanies and wax kits etc. they are really good.
