  1. Dodecylbenzolsulfonic acid is an anionic surfactant (!) used in a lot of household detergents including laundry powders, laundry liquids, dishwashing liquids and other household cleaners. Industrial applications of wetting agent, emulsifier for agricultural herbicides and in polymerization.

    You can say it is a ( part of ) detergent and rounds out the composition.
