I dream I'm in huge houses, cities, or parks. Sometimes I get lost, but that doesn't happen most of the time. Mostly I'm just there, like traveling. The architecture in my dreams are astounding to me.

  1. Sounds like your spirit is actually visiting these places while you sleep, astral travelling. There are some extraordinary things out there.

  2. you are traveling astrally to the learning places.   look into it.

  3. The brain is an amazing thing and may be using your sleep to make daily 'temporary' memories more permanent. Remembering when concious is a great technique for reinforcing memory and it may be precisely what the brain is doing.

Wikipedia has a balanced review of the theories of how dreams work or what they are for. If you are interested in a scientific rather than psychoanalytical or mystical perspective I would highlight section on the hippocampus:

In every place in which I have lived my dreams occur in an exaggerated representation of that place. Sometimes get insights into the prejudices and assumptions I make. As an architect I have had detailed dreams of projects I was working on. This allowed me to see and resolve problems which have been unresolvable whilst awake!

Why don't you try and record in words or draw and then perhaps even share some of these images?

    All the best,

    Mike
