Since my father died 7 months ago i have dreamt about him a lot. Most the time he is just hanging around me my dream he doesnt talk to me or anything but i just know & feel him there. When we do talk however it is never as you normally talk to another person but we talk to eachother thru our minds. I have asked him questions like if he hears me cry for him which he replied he wish he could cry every tear for me and i also asked him what s*x my baby would be in which he showed me a girl and i had a girl. But the last dream he told me to look after my mother (who has stayed with me only at night since he died) as he told me that i was standing on a rd near my house looking at my mum's car parked on the side of the rd. thirty meters down the rd was a hat that he used to wear all the time when he was alive but the hat was now brown not its usual color of black. i picked it up and folded it in half and held it close to me missing him so much it actually hurt as it does when i'm awake

  1. Basically, the state you see the deceased in is the actual condition they are in, in the grave.  If they appear content, then there are in peace, if they are discontented or irritated, upset, angry etc..., likewise, that is their state in death.  The dead can no longer perform any deeds, therefore they are at the mercy of the living to recall them and ask for forgiveness and God's mercy upon them.  The dead can hear the living, so what you say and how you remember him to others will be heard.  Whatever the dead say in a dream is the truth as they live in the world of truth, while we live in the world of deceit and lies.  Therefore, anything a deceased says, heed.   Your father needs someone to pray for him and ask for forgiveness.  If you are able to perform deeds of kindness, charity or generosity on his behalf, do so as this also will be to his and your favor.  As I said, he can no longer perform deeds, thus, any kindness you can do on his behalf will be a reward for him.  He comes to you in need of prayer.  Do so.

Another thing, if anyone is still mournng, this should be stopped as this only increases the suffering of the dead.  They cannot rest in peace.

  2. I think it means you miss him very much!

Maybe your mind is trying to digest and resolve the feelings you have in your sleep.  I had dreams like that after my dad died.  The ones where I'm just carrying on and doing whatever and he's just there.  When I'd wake up, I'd wonder why I didn't talk more to him and feel bad.  The dreams become less in number in time.  My dad had bee gone 9 years.  Now when I dream of him, it's a shock, because they are so few and far between now, but I always treasure them because I wake up feeling as though I've been with him.

I still miss him and it still hurts, but it gets easier in time.

  3. My wifes father just passed away a few weeks ago and she always tells me she dreams about him. I tell her it's his way of keeping in touch with her.

  4. I think it is because you really miss him.

  5. The details of the dream have little significance despite the rubbish you'll hear from others.

The dream means no more, no less than you miss him.

What he told you in the last dream "Look after mother" is exactly what a good father would be expected to say. Good advice anyway, eh?

It's this type of dream that basically caused beliefs in spirits and life after death and the resulting nonsense that goes along with it.
