i think u mean to ask what does DTV mean not dvt in that case it means Digital Television in feb 2009 all public broadcasts will end. which means no more bunny ears for your tv so you will have to update but seeing as you have hdtv u should not have to worry about this

Dunno why people are saying you can't use bunny ears after Feb 2009.  The bunny ears will still work.  It's the TV tuner that's going to make the difference.  If it's a digital tuner, it will work with the bunny ears.  If it's an old analog tuner, it won't matter what kind of antenna you use.  (Unless you've got a converter box, in which case, the bunny ears will still work.)
