What does everyone do when you can't find someone to drive you to...

Like, what do you guys do if you need to go somewhere far [1 hour drive] and can't find anyone to drive?

My daughter takes the bus.  Her peers think riding the bus is stupid, but she and her friends go everywhere together and don't rely on parents.  This summer they've been going to water parks, and malls and movie theaters in different nearby cities.  They also went to Santa Cruz this summer which is three hours away.  My daughter can go viist her friends across town like every day.  Other kids her age might think it's stupid to take the bus, but it's better than sitting at home waiting for parents.  She's pretty independent and there is nothing stupid about that.  She is now taking the bus to get to work and saving up for a car.

Take the bus.

Almost every mid-size city in the US has bus service.  It may not be the most convenient, but it gets you there.

You can also bike if it's close enough.

If it's far away, you can try to find a drive from someone else or just not go.
