  1. I wasn't aware he is a addict.

Its sad to say but their are a lot high profile people out there that do recreational drugs like Ecstasy and cocaine.  their are bad role models for the kids

  2. lol its no addiction, he just likes 2 have fun. 90% of men who go out and get blind will do some drugs at least a few times in there lives. its no big deal.

ALOt of players are way worse then him, they dont wont the public 2 now cuz they tottaly over react and say there drugos and addicted, there grown men they now what there doin, ne way it not performance enhancing drugs. thats all they really should be worried about.

  3. He just proved that he is human and he has faults like the rest of us.  So what.

  4. Disappointed. He shouldn't have done it, but what's past has past and it's time for him to take the consequences, and hopefully, right some wrongs for the future.

But he said he only took them in the off season and only occasionally when playing. That means that his football was genuine. He helped Newcastle to two premierships, that was him, not drugs.

Whilst it is advisable that elite sportsman and, often, role models, behave and do good off the field, what happens in their personal lives have nothing to do with the public and we should respect their privacy.

  5. Sad. The memory of what a brilliant player he was, and the image my nephew held of him, will be always tarnished.
