  1. There was probably a bar he wanted to visit, where he intended to urinate in the corner.

  2. Matt has always said that GSP wasn't the true champ because he never defended his title, well after the Fitch fight he has a title defense and Matt did not want to be around for that.  It has to be hard to be called the GOAT by so many at WW yet you see the guy who you cannot come close to beating anymore improving, letting go is hard for athletes.

  3. Matt hughes is just mad because GSP had a better fight with jon fitch then with him.

  4. When GSP talked smack about Hughes performance it was because they were going to fight each other, and GSP was trying to hype up the fight.  Hughes is just being a *****.  The fight got fight of the night for christsake.

Hughes is a washed up old man.  Did any one see Alves dominate him?  What di Matt Hughes think of Matt Hughe's perfomance in that fight?  I will even bet that Serra beats him when they fight.

  5. Turnabout is fair play. I seem to recall GSP saying the same thing while in the ring after a Hughes victory.

  6. As the saying goes "What goes around comes around" and but when GSP said it to Hughes, Hughes was facing a much better opponent then Fitch in BJ Penn.

  7. It's all pride. Nothing ever changes. UFC althought brilliant is still just fore school playground but 15 years down the road and everyone is getting paid for it. It's very hard to take an insult on the chin, especially when UFC is built on hype and image. The fights can be poor, shear class and anywhere in between but as even some of the fighrers have pointed out.. the end of the night is about the amount of tickets done at the door, not the quality of the action. If you want to sell tickets, you need to draw the fans, to draw the fans ...you need to give them a reason to want this particular fight. Fans want tension, they want to see two giants charge at each other, they want to see the cheecky guy get whats coming to him from the local hero, they want to see an older guy get toppled by a new up and coming buck !

I would imagine ( tho not an expert ) that most fighters have a lot of respect for each other in MMA but when it comes to on the spot interviews or youtube vids, the fighters are always gonna try and drink up the spotline before it moves on. They gotta keep it on them to make their living. Matt Hughes in my personal honest opinion has good fights left in him but I don't think he is going to be at the top much longer. GSP is a fan favourite, he has Dana shouting BEST POUND FOR POUND FIGHTER IN THE WORLD every ten seconds to the cameras while people are kinda going.. hey matt hughes..yea he's ok , not as good as he was tho .. etc

Matts talkin trash creatin hype. Even if its just a response to something GSP said it doesnt matter, shouldnt be frowned upon too heavily. These guys make their bread and butter from insults that lead to fights ..especially if it leads to "showdowns' that please the crowd.

  8. Hes just butt hurt about GSP saying "Im not impressed by

your performance" after his victory over BJ Penn. That and he

didnt want to have to hear Bruce Buffer after the fight, and still the welterweight champion of the world Gorges RUSH StPierre, that and he said he wanted to beat the crowd out to the parking lot.
