  1. its the horse on the lead who faces the wind the most.

  2. facing the breeze means......the horse on the lead, or

the 1st horse to go 1st over....move from the rail to

out-side and is the 1st horse to be hit by the wind...all

other horses are running behind another horse.....

  3. Well all i know is that ''breezeing means when he going to have a breeke for that day meaning they are going to make him go faster then a normal work day

when we breeze races horses they go faster then the normal gallop but fast enough to make it a work is in between

so into the breeze may mean the same ?I have never heard it in that term for harness horses

  4. "Facing the breeze" or going up to "face the breeze" in harness racing is also called "the death" or "the death seat." It is the outside position off the rail, bearing the brunt of wind resistance and having to cover more ground than the inside position.
