If you skydive or your plane starts to crash, what does it feel like?

Does it feel like the drop of a roller coaster but never-ending?

  1. Freefall is acceleration downward at 1 G, and is essentially equivalent to weightlessness.  Skydivers and crashing planes do not experience freefall except for a few seconds at most.  Skydivers in a stable dive experience 1 G, just like everyone else, and aircraft can't accelerate fast enough downward in most scenarios to maintain freefall (although specially-flown aircraft can enter freefall for periods of 30 seconds or so in parabolic arcs, for research into zero-G).

  2. Just a minute and I'll go up to the roof and jump off. Bear with me; I'll be right back ........................................... ...........................................   ........................................... ...........................................

  3. What does freefall feel like?

Freefall is not the "roller coaster drop" feeling most people expect it would be. It is a comfortable sensation of floating and support, with a slight pressure of air against your body.

Freefall is the closest thing to human flight, especially when falling "relative" with other skydivers. In relation to other skydivers in the air, a jumper can move forward, backwards, up, down and all around in the sky. He or she can dive vertically to over 200 mph or achieve horizontal movement over the ground up to 60 mph. The constant air flow allows aerial maneuvers with precision and control.

  4. It's an afterthought......The true exhiliration is when you push someone off the balcony on the 19th floor for the first time.

    It's far much better.

  5. I've never sky-dove nor been on a crashing plane, but I imagine free-falling has to feel like riding on some rides at a fair.  I have been hit by a drunk driver (wasn't nice at all!) and as an even younger child my brother & I used to jump out of trees and off of the roof of the house.  Have you ever been in a public swimming pool that has a high diving board???  Get afraid one day caused by a dream from the night b4, get nearly paralyzed, and then have someone waiting behind you climb up and push you off-----free-falling!!!!

In the beginning you could be SCARED out of your wits, but when its all done and over it is so very exhilerating!!!

  6. i have been skydiving and it feels sooooo free there nothing in you way except the flys(no jokes no flyes) and the ground look sooo nice but it was scary

  7. When you jump out of an aircraft, it is a totally different sensation than becoming weightless. Out of an airplane you reach a terminal velocity after a few seconds which is about 120mph. You can manipulate, as stated before, your speed and direction.

The feeling of weightlessness like in a diving plane, you float around with nothing to impede you. With nothing to push on, it is nearly impossible to move from point A to point B. If you turn on an electric drill to drill a hole, you will spin too! No friction to hold you back
