Im looking to become a teacher and have some college done for my history degree. I want to be a history teacher and I know getting the credential takes another year at least after you get your bachelors in whatever you majored, but im not sure what teaching credentialing actually is. Am I going to be graded like I have been in my history classes just with teaching pedagogy? Do I do work at other schools? Thanks.

  1. Yes, it may take another year at least after you get your bachelor's degree.  A teaching credential is a document you must have to teach legally in various states.  You will typically take classes in teaching pedagogy, but not many in history (you may have already met those requirements).  Yes, a student teaching experience is usually art of the process. For further details contact your state department of education and local univeristy.  Both these institutions will help you.
