  1. I don't much care for Chevy nor do I know anything about these Jonas Brothers except they seem to be popular but going green to me means going wild. Living in nature with nature, eating what I forage and if need be hunt, getting rid of modern technology (and most other technology) and going back to my primal human/animal self. It seems extreme and crazy but it is truly green. Building new cars and new technologies that are a bit better for the environment really are just putting a foot on the garden hose the water stops flowing out of the hose but the water builds up behind the kink and will eventually run out and explode. What you need to actually do is turn off the water flow completely. Right now it is good to try and alter your life and be more "eco-friendly" but make sure it is eco-friendly and not just greenwashed to seem like it is eco-friendly. I hope too one day leave this culture and society and move into the woods and live with nature, I am scared and there is lots of technology and stuff I use and like a lot but sometimes you have to make changes in your own life to make life better for all of us.

Good luck on your little contest thing but please please please look into primitivism and look into various aspects of it (I personally like language and some tools we have shouldn't be given up but others disagree though I do think they are a bit crazy at some points) These links will hopefully help you out but feel free to PM me if you want to talk more on this.

  2. Ok it is not always about a hybrid, it is not neccessarily about electric cars.  Being green is about being responsible, it is about having the ability to give back as much if not more to the environment and to your society.

Being green is not just taking care of your own life but following up after others who do not,  be it because you are scared of global warming or just want to make your area of life a cleaner place.

Being green is bout respect to others around you.  We have to think of the world as if we are all living in one big house and if you do not clean up our room after ourselves it is just not a nice place to live and it is not a nice place to share with others.

Goin Green is not so much Electric Hybrid Cars, Chevy has a few but they also have Flex Fuel, Hydrogen, and vehicles that get over 30 mpg in regular gasoline vehicles.  This is a responsible attitude.  But it is more than emmissions and more than just a message but a lifestyle.

Going green makes you feel good about yourselves and it is a lifestyle choice.

    Good Luck

  3. Tough one. Hybrids are really only green if you charge them on a source that is green - like hydro-power (a dam) or a windmill. If you don't live near a dam or a windmill a Hybrid is not green.

In taht case I'd say reminding people to use 'green driving habits' like slowing down, don't floor it, plan your trips, get your emissions system tested regularly.

  4. Well, Chevy used to make some cars that ran on natural gas (methane), which is a great alternative fuel and cleaner for the environment. I think they made some Cavaliers that way (and vans, too), but you'll have to check. Ford made a lot more of them, but you'd want to use Chevys for the poster. I have 2 of them (Fords) and they're great cars! Very cheap to fill up, too. Maybe you could encourage Chevy to start making them again now that gasoline is so expensive. Wouldn't it be great if every car out there didn't use a single drop of gasoline to get around? Mine don't! It's something most people don't know about, so you would at least increase awareness, which is a great thing to do. Check out my sources below and you can research this a little. Good luck!

  5. Going green i think, would be like shutting down the power in our houses, only using solar, or hydro power to power the things we really need. Why get a 60% extra efficient car when we can get a bike that doesn't cost a huge fortune. Going green would be huge and hard i think. But the devoted person could do it.
