support a team in blue, i was under the impression that all football fans that live in manchester support city, and the 330million MANCHESTER UNITED fans live in council flats in essex, maybe i'm wrong but i thought i'd point out this flaw in the event of "blue moon" having to revert back to the old chestnut, there are no UNITED fans living in MANCHESTER.

Such short memories people have. United had the highest attendance in the entire league during their season out of the top flight in 1974. They had consistently the highest average gate in the league until 1988 when the south stand was redone. Obviously all those fans were glory hunters with all the silverware we were winning between 1970 and 1988 (3 FA cups).

During the petrol strike in 2000, nobody was driving anywhere, yet those pesky gloryhunters managed to get all the way up from Surrey to watch United get their highest gate of the season against those legendary crown pullers Wimbledon. Or the stadium was full of Mancs.

I would love to see some of the twats who post their rubbish about all United fans being gloryhunters (whilst not looking at their own team's fans) take a walk around OT on match day and ask random people if they are gloryhunters. The good people of Salford and Manchester don't tolerate fools gladly.

yea funny that, its the old chestnut , i admit i dont come from manchester but there is a city and liverpool supporters club and a united supporters club in our town but funnily enough only the former are genuine supporters while utd fans are all glory hunters , i have supported united for 42 years and many of those years were not filled with glory and trophies but they were filled with watching a team trying to entertain and not win the liverpool way by boring the **** off people they were also filled with full houses no matter were we played MANCHESTER UNITED THE GREATEST FOOTBALL CLUB IN THE WORLD
