  1. So it becomes plyable and you can change the curve.  Players like their curve a very specific way, but everyone's is a bit different.

It doesn't "melt the ice" ... how could you keep all the sticks these guys use hot enough to do that and what would be the point?  Totally untrue.

  2. Bigger curve of the stick that lets you have more control over the puck and helps you elevate the puck much better. Many European players love to use this. When the NHL made a new rule that allowed players to curve their stick more, many euopeans like Milan Michalek played much better with the more curved stick like the ones they would use in Europe.

  3. Basically what some people are saying, to put a curve on it a certain way you like it.

  4. When you heat a hockey stick it get softer for a while until it curves. This means that you can change the curve on the blade if it does not suit you.

  5. you can bend it so your curve is bigger and i also think if you heat the blade before a game the heat melts the ice a bit so the puck slides better when you have it..

  6. to create a curve that you like, a shooters is different from a defensemen it all depends on the players preference.

  7. i don't know, i saw them do it on miracle, i guess it keeps it firm
