What does holding the center button on my iPod Video do?

I hold the center button and the song name blinks a few times...whats going on?

It puts it to an "On the GO" playlist.  You choose a song you want, and hold it unitl it blinks, choose the next, until you are done with you playlist.  Finally go to "playlists" and find "On-the Go" there it is.

It depends. If its a regular ipod or a nano ipod it means the song is in the "On The Go" group of your songs. It is a group of songs besides the playlists you have that you personally picked from all your songs overall. If you want to take them out of your On The Go playlist just hold the center button again on the song and its removed.
