  1. Improvisation is the spontaneous reorganization of prelearned concepts.


  2. it basically means to come up with something appropriate on the spot. for example, if you were in a musical, and forgot your line, you could "improv" and still make it sound ok.

  3. Improv is usually a word for acting or drama, where the actors are not given any lines, but only a topic. From that topic, they come up with lines of their own, and respond to the other actors' lines. An example is the show "Whose Line is it Anyway?" They aren't given the actual script on what to say, they are just given the topic or situation and from there they make up their own lines. It just so happens that they make it comedy!! And good comedy sometimes too

  4. This is genreally refered to as making stuff up on the spot or acting with no script

    In theatre it more specifically refers to playing games with different rules and making the script up on the spot to see what happens
