an acting school rep told my daughter she was green in front of the camera. It's a good thing, but I don't know what it means!

  1. Being green in this case doesn't have anything to do with loving the Earth.  It sounds like she meant it as greenhorn, which is usually shortened to green.  That's not an insult.  It just means she's new at it and not experienced yet.  Any one who is new at anything can be called a greenhorn.  From the little that you explained, that is what I believe he/she meant.
