What does independence mean to India?

Infact, the freedom has no significance. We celebrate it with an intoxicated love for the land served by the pseudo-politician. May  it be economical, political, social, cultural, spiritual, or intellectual we all are dependent on the camaflauged exploiters of the society. The fact we have only acheived geographical or political freedom but are in worst state in all other spheres.

A bird in a gilded cage also feels trapped. So even with all the trials and pains we like our freedom, thank you very much.

You might appreciate the slavery to a rich master, we prefer our freedom. We are not trying to put anyone down, but we have achieved our success on our terms. You have no right to criticize my way of living, or my culture.

The things you point out as our failings are all part and parcel of growing in a secular democracy. You see the glass 'half empty' we see it as 'half full'.

If our country is as bad as you say, did we stop you from leaving. It is free world please leave us we would not be sorry.

Please find a country where all these things do not happen, good luck you are in for disappointment.

Independence in India is to sit in that country and to complain about it and do nothing to improve the country...

If India was not independent most of the ones criticising the country wouldn't have had a chance to say anything....

Indians are lucky to be in the country because other than others it has everything.

Smart youngsters, necessary infrastructure and monetary funds..

Too bad they are a bit too selfish and also in a hurry to earn money...
