I had a dream that I spoke to a guy that is very dear to me on the phone, and made arrangements to meet somewhere. Then I was in a mall, it seemed to be next to an LA stadium. Some event just happened, and there were hoards of cars stacked in the lot. I was wandering around the mall, and went into a store where a girl came up behind me and told me she needed my black coat – didn’t say what for, just that without it she wouldn’t be able to do something (hold a place up?) – said I couldn’t take anything out of the pockets, though my phone, keys and ipod were in the pocket.I begged for my keys, at least. After she took the coat, I sat outside the mall and was upset about what happened. Then the man who I was to be meeting lept down from above, like he had jumped off the roof, and we embraced right away. It was the first time we’d met, but he held me tightly. His hug comforted me and the coat didn’t matter to me anymore.

What is this saying about the guy in the dream?

  1. It is not telling you anything about the man, it is telling you about your feelings toward the man.  I would think the cars represent other women, many that might be competition to you.  One came to you and you were unable to resist giving up what you really wanted.  You were upset and wanted to be saved.  The man appeared and saved you.  It would seem you have a crush and possibly unrealistic expectations about this relationship at this time.  Don't rush too fast.

    Dreams are individual.

  3. I think of dreams in terms of emotions. You had your hopes high because you were meeting this guy. The girl taking your coat was random, but you felt frustration and abused because she did. Almost like the guy did not show up. Than the guy does show up to rescue you which shows me that you want to be protected and taken care of. I don't think you can judge what it actually says about the guy, only our feelings about him. To me you sound vulnerable because his presence can be joy or disappointment.
