What does it feel like having someone propose to you?

I'm just curious, lol. I'm certain it'll feel great but I'm just curious as to what it feels like cos my gf is gonna propose to me at Spring Break in 3years time, lol. I can't wait, lol.

Never happened to me because I avoid it. On one hand I'd like to have a family, on the other hand I enjoy single life.

Is she even going to be able to afford `diamonds` in 3 years with her pocket money.

I`m sorry, but I think you need to do a little maturing first.  It will depend on the situation, the setting and the moment.  Otherwise it feels great.

Being proposed to is the most wonderful feeling on earth, if it is done by the person you want to spend your llife with.  I imagine it would be a terrifying feelign if someone you didn't really care for proposed, but luckily that wasn't the case with me.

When my fiance proposed at midnight on New Year's Eve, I was totally blindsided and didn't expect it at all- I was just filled with emotion and was so excited I said "YES" before he even really got done asking me!  I cried, of course, and it was just such a wonderful moment in my life, like just being so full of happiness I could barely breathe.  We've been engaged for almost 8 months now, and I'm still so happy every time we talk about the wedding, or whenever anyone congratulates me or asks about the wedding.  I hope you and your girlfriend stay happy and in love forever.  Good luck!

To be honest when my ex (thank god!) proposed to me it was - even though i was completly and utterly in love with him at the time and thought marrage was what i wanted - i felt a bit like "oh" is this it. Like it didnt feel as special as i had expected it too. But i guess that was his cheap ring (which he lent the money off me to buy) and the fact it was on ome random park bench. bor-ing.

haha im not ungratfull he was a total kn0b.

Hopefully next time when my long term boyfriend proposes it will be different - we have a child together and i know it would be special and that we both ment it because we'v been together so long.

hey dude,,.. when u'r together for soo long, u can easily judge hw is it goin to be like.....

but sumtimes, its not easy to judge cuz u seem soo excited...\

for me... it was completely unexpected... & beautiful..!!

well is really great.but when she does u will be nervous whether to say yes or no.tthe ring is really great u will love it though cos i did.i wish i was the one who will receive the proposal

If you're talking about marriage and stuff right now, why wait 3 years? Just get engaged now! You can always just have a long engagement to plan for the wedding.

And getting proposed to is a very wonderful feeling. I cried a ton when my fiance got down on one knee and asked.

When it happened to me i had a surge of nervousness, then a surge of OMG its actually happening!  Then a surge of this is the best day of my life! A surge of happiness. As Lucy says above some people forget the yes part, which I did lol
