What does it feel like to get barreled while surfing?

its my dream to get barelled and i cant do it yet, how long did it take you to get barreled for the first time?

As Ashwee said, it takes the right wave, plus you need to be able to get yourself into the right position.  Usually you need to get up into the wave just below the lip, stall a little, then drive as the wave breaks.  

It is an awesome feeling.  On a bigger wave you can hear the power behind you and and feel the wind pushing you from the tube behind.  On those big waves crouch some as the wind can push you right off your board if you aren't careful.

On small waves, I like to get into position so my head just brushes the bottom side of the tube under the lip.  The tubes don't last long and you move very quick.  

When you get in there give out a yell.  Those who see you might hoot as well.

Its an awesome feeling. Doesn't take long just need the right wave and good movement. Ahh its freakin' awesome. =]
