What does it mean and what do I do when the subject line keeps saying "Disarmed"?

This is how it looks when it comes in from my Yahoo group Re: {Disarmed} Re: [C-R-A-F-T] - Its seems to be from me and it seems to be since I changed providers. I with with Optusnet and am now with Virgin broadband. Its driving me nuts....thanks for any help. Khris

  1. sounds like virus protection to me. where is the subject line you're seeing this? e-mail? if so, what provider? and what provider is it being sent from? sounds like HTML might had been removed, or a virus or a graphic- depends on e-mail settings they 'disarm' it so it's safe for you to open

[DISARMED]: This subject tag will be displayed when possibly malicious HTML tags/code/scripts/etc. have been disabled or "disarmed" in the email message.  If you really want to read the message, since it has been disarmed you can safely open the email but I would be very cautious about opening any more messages from whoever sent it.  If you know the person who sent the message, you might let them know they possibly have a virus on their computer.  If you don't know whoever sent it, it probably was intended to execute a virus when opened.
