Yesterday at cheer pratice, the captain said how we would be doing mainly pushups when we start conditioning soon. What does it mean by conditioning?

  1. Conditioning means getting ready and warming up for the season. For example, getting in shape.


  2. It means that you will be doing things like running, push ups, planks, and core work. This is to condition you for the season ahead. It is building stamina and strength so that you can do a lot. The strength in your arms is for sharp clean movements and stunting. The core strenght is for jumps and stunting. The running is so that you can build stamina so that you are able to do 10 jumps then throw stunts over and over without getting too tired.
