What does it mean by "Being in the top third" of your class?

What what does that mean?

It means that you and 2 other people in your class are something..like smartest, tallest, badest..you know :)

it means you're one of the smarter people. so you're not mediocre (average) or an idiot

Being in the top third of your class is not being the in the smartest 1/3 of your class, it means that you are in the 1/3 of your class with the highest GPA. There is a huge difference between being intelligent and getting good grades.

It is like splitting your class in thirds and the top third is the smartest and the middle third is the ok people and the bottom third is people who are not smart
