What does it mean dreaming about war and love?

Can someone tell me what this means. Last night I had a dream about someone who I know told me he wsa going to fight in Iraq, and in my dream we were really close and when he told me I couldn't belive it, but in reality we arnt that close can anyone tell me what it means please its really bugging me

Your dream appears to be one of your subconsciousness revealing some inner feelings you may have suppressed about this person.

I'm not quite sure whether you dreamt of his telling you he was going to Iraq or that he actually did - but it is clear by your writing that you dreamt of the closeness between you.  Either way, the closeness you describe 'found' a venue in the sense of urgency that comes from one's imminent departure for war to go and stand in harm's way.  Think of the romantic notions of soldiers marrying short-term girlfriends just before going overseas, especially as often depicted in World War II stories (and it often happened).  The emotions run high - and there's something inside the male and female human that responds in this way when we suddenly realize a hazardous separation is at hand.

Whether you truly have such close feelings for this fellow or not, your mind and heart seem to at least be exploring that notion.  Your dream is all about sensing that very thing - it is a way to bring this to your conscious attention for your waking consideration.
