  1. Highlight everything you need to have double spaced with the mouse. Then hold down "ctrl" and "2" at the same time and it will double space for you.

  2. This refers to how much space is found between lines in a paragraph.  If you are typing in a program like word, just go to the paragraph listing under the format option and select double for line spacing.  The computer will do the rest.

  3. It means there is a space between each line.

To double-space a paper using Microsoft Word go to the Format Menu along the top of the page, Click on the word "paragraph."  When the box comes up, halfway down it says "spacing."  On the right it will say "line spacing" and have a drop down menu that will have "single" as a default.  Pull the menu down and click on "double" then hit "ok."

    Voila!
