Sounds like a stupid question

but i have vista and really want this camera but want it to work

it will still work just not the software that comes with it right.

It says that its not vista compatible here

  1. This means Vista is an idiot. Avoid many problems, go back to XP. Vista is not yet stable.

    In any case, they might mean the software that comes with it may not be Vista compatible. The hardware itself isn't the problem as you can always (and should) a Card Reader instead of plugging the camera into the computer using a USB cable. It drains the batteries and it's slow. With a CR, you can always use it with any camera - and you need no software to install either.
