What does it mean if I dream that I'm driving?

I dreamt last night that I was trying to drive my dad's old truck (or something like it.) I was trying to drive from the passenger's seat. There were two wheels in the car, and I couldn't steer properly from the passenger's seat. There was noone in the driver's seat. I remember wishing I was in the driver's seat than the passenger's seat.

The old truck if family responsibilities. You feel you are sitting in the passenger's seat and cannot do much about running the family. You feel if you were in charge of the family and not your dad then you could have done better.

It probably means you want to take control of your life (or just an aspect of it) but you're either too scared or you don't know how.  There is no one in the driver's seat to help you because you have to figure that certain chapter of your life on your own. When you finally find the way to take control of whatever you are try to do, you will finally be in the driver's seat.

The others have given some very on target answers about what vehicles usually mean in dreams.   It does represent your life's journey at this point, and shows who is "in charge" in your life.

First of all, I have to wonder, "Where is your Dad?"  Because it appears he is not in the picture.  Either he has died, or left the family.  

I believe you are taking on the responsibilities of a Father, but you do not have the authority to call the shots.  You have to take care of everything he should be or would be taking care of if he were present, but you are still under authority to him or your Mom, or both.

Do you mean there were 2 steering wheels?  This indicates that there may be another person who is also sometimes taking care of some of the responsibilities you carry, or at least, they should be doing so.  Perhaps this other person already has so many other things to take care of they are not able to do so.

You feel you could do a better job if you had more input in the decision making process.  You often have to do things in a way you do not feel as best because you are under someone else's authority.    Perhaps you also feel you should have more personal freedom since you have so many responsibilities.

I don't know how old you are, or how mature you are.  Perhaps you do deserve more freedom and control, but if you are still a teenager, it is possible your Mom(?), though she may depend on you, is also trying to protect you from things she feels are not good for you.  

Pray to God for wisdom and patience.  You are doing a good thing.  You will be a stronger, wiser adult as a result of this.  When you are of age, do not be too quick to rush into  marriage or a committed romantic relationship.  Stay free so you can pursue your goals and have a chance to do what you need to do for yourself before you take on any more responsibility, ok?  You'll probably still want to help your family along the way, but your own personal freedom is going to increase with time.  I promise!

Just from what you are describing it sounds like you are frustrated with something in your life that you are trying to get ahead but can't because you are missing the equipment/money etc. to do so or someone is hindering you from succeding.

The fact that you're driving probably is the journey of your life. You can't control your life, but you're managing to have a good life, but you're in a tight spot and you can't change the way you're living, because life is advancing so fast for you. I may be wrong, but that's my opinion.
