What does it mean if a Bird is staring at u through the window for a long period of time?

Whie preparing to wash dishes I noticed that it was sitting there just looking.. watching my every move.. Kinda creepy.. but I know that there are wives tales about stuff like this

In all honesty - the bird most likely was watching it's own reflection on the other side of the window (like a mirror).  It was watching "the other bird" to either 'mate' or to "keep it's territory" or some other "bird thing".

I doubt it was watching you, the "omens" of birds are usually when they are with you in the same room/yard/etc.  If it's through a window, it more likely is just a reflection thing.

If it is an "omen" it is someone who passed trying to give you a message - meditate on someone who you know who has passed and on a situation that concerns your life now; then listen for the message they're trying to give you on that subject.

It depends on what kind of bird it is. I believe if its a black bird or a crow someone you love is going to die soon.

It wasn't watching you. It was looking at its reflection in the glass and thinking it was another bird, and wondering what that bird was up to.  Birds do not watch people.  If it knew you were that close it would have been gone in a hearbeat.  They also don't understand  the concept of reflection.
