What does it mean if someone naming herself "sunshine" or someone call a girl "sunshine"? what does it convey?

I guess it means that they are a happy, cheerful person. But it's not a real name. It sounds more like a name for a dog or cat. . .!!

I guess you can name yourself sunshine .. is this person from overseas?? since she is "naming herself".

Maybe she likes sunshine or that she is "SUNNY" or has a "sunny" personality. if thats what she wants.. or she just likes the word "Sunshine"..

I am from overseas myself to where I am now, but I didnt want to change my name so I stick with my country's name.

There are some people in my school from China that name themselves pretty odd I should say.. such as "Winky" "Twinky" "Peppermint" etc etc .. you get the point. I have no idea what they are trying to convey.

If someone calls herself Sunshine, she probably wants to convey that she is a happy person.

If you call a girl 'sunshine', you'd probably mean that she lights up your world and that she is a person who can cheer you up when you are down.
