What does it mean if someone says they are related 10 th cousins twice removed ?

  1. They share a common ancestor.

    One (A) is eleven generations from the common ancestor.

    The other (B) is thirteen generations (the two removals) from the common ancestor.

    It makes it easier to see by showing the lines of descent parallel to each other.
