The other day I ran a new p.b for the 1500m and it was a very hot day. Afterwards I was sick.

  1. maybe dehydration.

    drink lots of water

  2. Congrats on the PB.

The sickness could've been due to a variety of factors:

    > Pushing yourself too hard

    > Hot weater

    > Dehydrated

    > Lactic acid build up

    > Not enough energy (sugar)

If it happens again, might be worth getting it checked up. My brother used to vomit after all his races (sprints) and turned out it was either due to, or caused, stomach ulcers.

  3. Yeah it happens alot after people run their hardest diuring a race. Drink lots of water

  4. its kind of a good thing as it means u are xerting ur body to the limit.

  5. nothing much i think.  i also fell sick after running. probably it is about the weather... or you havent been exercising or first time trying 1500m which means u suddenly push yourself and your body gets a shock.

just try to consume healthier stuff and rest more. you'll be fine real soon.

  6. it means that u pushed urself as hard as u could which is a good thing :-) good job!

  7. I gather the sickness is down to the lactic acid, i did my first 5k yesterday and a lot was uphill which i hadnt trained for hills. As i came to the last 300metres i had to leave the path as i felt like i was about to be sick but just before that i had reached my threshold and pushed myself for several minutes without taking a short recovery, which was a big mistake. I managed to run across the finishing line but wasnt quite "with it" so it ruined the end of my very first race.

  8. It just means you pushed your body it's limit. In college, we had some rough practices where 50% of the people were sick. It's a common happening.
