i'm a psychology major and have been doing dream interpretations as a hobby.  this dream definitely does not look like what the symbols are showing.  let me explain

the dog in your dream can represent a skill that you have, but you don't use it anymore.  the dog biting your fingers makes me think that the skill has something to do with your hands.  think of something that you used to do with your hands, but don't do anymore.  writing? puzzles? drawing?  whatever it is, the dream suggest that you rediscover that skill
