  1. It means that your family isn't expected to contribute much to your college costs. 432 may not be the EXACT number they pay but it means they are expected to pay very little and you'll receive financial aid. Even though your EFC is not 0, depending on how much your tuition is, it may pay all of it.


  2. It means you will get a Pell grant (free money) to help pay for the cost of your school.  The amount will likely be around $2,140 in the fall and again in the spring if you attend college full time.  You will also qualify for other financial aid like Subsidized Stafford loans in the amount of 3500 a year if you are a freshman and dependent.  (More if you are independent). You may also Federal Work Study and get some state grants, but not sure where you are. Hope this helps.

  3. It means that your estimated family contribution to your education is $432.00.
