What does it mean "i'll be around"?

im an asian girl and i like a scottish guy and now he's back in scotland. we chatted online the other day, he said" if u meet someone go for it" i answered "but its hard to meet someone here" then he said" well i'll be around, we met once so we can meet again."

so i wonder wut does he mean "i'll be around" does it mean anything? or he just trying not to hurt me or something else?

well, looks like he's trying to be sweet to you. and looks like he has interest in you, but now he's in another country. long distance relationships don't work sweety. move on. if he comes back to town, go out and have fun with him, other than that- i don't think he meant anything else by "I'll be around".

Please don't let this hurt your feelings or think that he is putting you down.  He is trying to be honest and nice.  

He already told you:   if u meet someone go for it.  That means, he is not interested in you now and is telling you to continue to search for someone else who would be interested in you that way.

You say it's hard to meet someone around here.

He replies:  well i'll be around, we met once so we can meet again."  That means, he is not interested in you now.  Since you ran into each other one time, it could happen again.  He is not going to go out of his way to see you.  He is not interested in you that way.  It does sound like if you do run into him again, he'll consider you again, but I personally wouldn't count on it.

He could also mean that  "you met me when I was just around, probably you can meet someone who will like you back that way, too.

He is just trying not to be rude.  Not to reject you to your face.

Be glad that he isn't trying to put one over on you or toy with your emotions.  He is honest and nice about it, too.
