    Download and run a scan with

  2. That is to (un)knowingly give a program permission to do certain things that it should have no business doing. And adware is a type of software that bombards you with advertisements.

    LavaSoft offers AdAware 2008, and SpyBot Search & Destroy

  6. The person above me is wrong. It means that it is an executable file that could possibly be a virus. Only authorize it if it is from a source that you trust.
