  1. I ride the American Saddlebred and a big three gaited chocolate bay.

Three gaited means the Horse performs the natural 3 gaits. Which are:

    -Walk

    -Trot

    -Canter.

5 gaited means the horse can do the following naturally:

    -Walk

    -Trot

    -Canter

    -Rack

    -Slow gait.

    Hope that helps

  2. It means it only does 3 gaits.

    *Walk

    *Trot

    *Canter

    But no gallop!

  3. like

    walk trot and canter

  4. it means it just does w/t/c and no other gaits, like running walk, pace, foxtrot, tolt, rack etc.

  5. Three gaited means the horse has no extra gaits.  Just walk trot and canter.  Most horses are three gaited (and gallop is considered the same gait as the canter even though in reality it has four hoof beats instead of three). Extra gaits include the rack, pace, tolt, running walk, foxtrot, etc.  These are all called gaited horses or 4+ gaited horses.  Examples are Rocky Mountain horses, icelandic horses, foxtrotters and walking horses.  Hope this helped!

  6. Basic 3 gaits:  walk, trot and canteeeeeeeeeeeeeer  lol
