  1. A man must be born of flesh then of spirit.

Those who accept the atonement are by faith born again.

We are born first a man form Adam and then born new through the atonement of Jesus Christ and receive the Holy Spirit.

John 3: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these amiracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

If you accepted Jesus Christ and are by faith made new than you are by faith born again.

  2. it means having the spirit of God in your heart...you can ask for it if your heart is willing...OOO

  3. Since you were baptized and still make a conscious decision to act on God grace by means of the Sacraments (hopefully) then yes, you could, in a sense, consider yourself "born again". Also, don't get being born again confused with salvation. they're two distinctly different aspects.

  4. ask god to come into your heart it sounds like to me your on the right path..good luck..

  5. I suggest you take a look at this link

  6. You obviously have a great love for Jesus and I feel since you have asked the question, you are under conviction by the Holy Spirit to be baptized as an adult and by choice.  No where in the Bible is baptizing (sprinkling/dedicating) an infant instructed.  Jesus was our example and He chose to be baptized by full immersion.

  7. a born again christian means you asked the Lord too come into your heart, save your soul, and that you can go too heaven when you die.

  8. In John, chpt. 3, Jesus tells a man named Nicodemus that he needs to be born again. Nicodemus didn't understand it either. He said, " How can these things be?"

So, he was asking Jesus, "HOW" to be born again. this is what Jesus said.......Jhn 3:9  Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

Jhn 3:10  Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

Jhn 3:11  Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

Jhn 3:12  If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you [of] heavenly things?

Jhn 3:13  And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven.

Jhn 3:14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

Jhn 3:15  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Jhn 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

So, to the question of "HOW" to be born again, Jesus says...BELIEVE ON HIM.

  9. Born again means to be..born again over in the spririt but like holy spirit........But this time you have jesus in your life. And born again by water.

  10. I am catholic and born again ,even by the standards of most

    F undamentalist protestants i know

One is born again by water and the Holy Spirit in baptism but one must live in the state of grace, faithful to Christ as Lord and Saviour, for we are saved by grace.

You sound very born again to me.

Let us pray for each other.

  11. 2Corinthians  5:17 " Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Infant baptism doesn't mean a thing. How did you know what you were doing at that age ? Are you going to a bible believing + teaching church ? If not find one Hebrews 10:25 " Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Have you accepted Jesus as your savior ? This is the church I go to web site . Go to it and look in the bottom right corner and click on it , that will help you with your question.

  12. Was born right the first time so really unsure on that one.

  13. A lobotomy.

  14. It means one has trusted Christ as the Son of God that died for their sins, and been saved.  That simple.  The inner man, the soul is what is saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise.

  15. Definition: Being born again involves being baptized in water (“born from water”) and begotten by God’s spirit (“born from . . . spirit”), thus becoming a son of God with the prospect of sharing in the Kingdom of God. (John 3:3-5) Jesus had this experience, as do the 144,000 who are heirs with him of the heavenly Kingdom.

Why is it necessary for any Christians to be “born again”?

God has purposed to associate a limited number of faithful humans with Jesus Christ in the heavenly Kingdom

Luke 12:32: “Have no fear, little flock, because your Father has approved of giving you the kingdom.”

Rev. 14:1-3: “I saw, and, look! the Lamb [Jesus Christ] standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand . . . who have been bought from the earth.”

Humans cannot go to heaven with bodies of flesh and blood

1 Cor. 15:50: “This I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s kingdom, neither does corruption inherit incorruption.”

John 3:6: “What has been born from the flesh is flesh, and what has been born from the spirit is spirit.”

Only persons who have been “born again,” thus becoming God’s sons, can share in the heavenly Kingdom

John 1:12, 13: “As many as did receive him [Jesus Christ], to them he gave authority to become God’s children, because they were exercising faith in his name; and they were born, not from blood or from a fleshly will or from man’s will, but from God.” (“As many as did receive him” does not mean all humans who have put faith in Christ. Notice who is being referred to, as indicated by verse 11 [“his own people,” the Jews]. The same privilege has been extended to others of mankind, but only to a “little flock.”)

Rom. 8:16, 17: “The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are God’s children. If, then, we are children, we are also heirs: heirs indeed of God, but joint heirs with Christ, provided we suffer together that we may also be glorified together.”

1 Pet. 1:3, 4: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for according to his great mercy he gave us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance. It is reserved in the heavens for you.”

What will they do in heaven?

Rev. 20:6: “They will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him for the thousand years.”

1 Cor. 6:2: “Do you not know that the holy ones will judge the world?”

    respectfully,

    Simone
