  1. Humanism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Humanism is a broad category of ethical philosophies that affirm the dignity and worth of all people, based on the ability to determine right and wrong by appeal to universal human qualities — particularly rationality.[1][2] It is a component of a variety of more specific philosophical systems and is incorporated into several religious schools of thought. Humanism can be considered the process by which truth and morality is sought through human investigation. In focusing on the capacity for self-determination, humanism rejects the validity of transcendental justifications, such as a dependence on belief without reason, the supernatural, or texts of allegedly divine origin. Humanists endorse universal morality based on the commonality of the human condition, suggesting that solutions to human social and cultural problems cannot be parochial.[3]

  2. Centralizing the value of creativity unto man rather than god or nature.

  3. Every action should be oriented for the welfare of mass-Many people. If u think only for yourself then yr family suffers,if family then society suffers, if village then city suffers, if city then district suffers, if district then state suffers, if state then country suffers, if country then continent suffers, if continent then planet suffers. U r not asked to stop looking towards yr wellbeing but it should be mass oriented. Promoting vulgarism, vandalism

terrorism may be an occupation of some but if it hampers mass then its promoter cannot be termed as humanist .IN the name of modernism promotion of animal behaviour is not a humanist approach. It is pragmatic, ethical .. Afterall DO U WANT TO LIVE ALONE ON THIS PLANET AND DO AS U LIKE..The attitude of a true humanist will be positive towards the mass. Every emotion will be judged before reacting.

  4. A humanist is someone who puts humanity at the center of their universe. A secular humanist is someone who puts man at the center of their universe and believes that God and Society have no place in the hierarchy of human values. You are probably asking about secular humanism, but I can't be sure. SH is very different from just H.

  5. within my belief, a humanist would mean we know what is the basic conditions which God has been giving to everyone PLUS any exceptional matters as His Trials.

e.g. God has given us, human being, abilities to hear, see and sensing but there were exceptions as His Trials for those deaf, blind (but not ever a senseless ones).
