  1. To be an Australian today means you don't take yourself too seriously. It means you're quick to laugh and don't mind being laughed at. It means you respect your mates - your close friends - above all else.

It means knowing that you live on the most amazing island in the world -- the lucky country.

Australian society isn't perfect, but if you ask any person from any country what it means to be one of their countrymen or women, they won't think of the bad points. They'll pick the points they're proud of.

And there's a great deal to be proud of, in this country that I love.

  2. Australia today is a country divided by race and class all the white population especially in urban areas are mostly selfish and very individualistic and only care about themselves and Australians seem to care more about the share price and have become a very posh in attitude, And in some ways looking down to people who are not as smart or well off.

Which I think is sad, Because its only getting worse because nothing seems to unite Australia accept only when the economy's doing well.

  3. Either too patriotc or hates the patriotic people.

Like people who get southern cross tatoos and people who get into fights with them for being bogans.

Being an australian is good and bad.

  4. It means we can be proud to be Aussies and are bloody lucky we live here and hopefully we will not make the same mistakes as the rest of the world and the future is in our hands so lets not stuff it up for our children and grandchildren.
