  1. obstinate or conceited with regard to the merit of one's own opinions; conceitedly dogmatic.

  2. it means they have strong opinions and need to tell them to everyone. they also always have an answer for everything.

  3. Well, you can see that the root word is 'opinion' which is what it has a lot to do with.

Its like, if you were opinionated, your opinions are the only ones that matter to you. You will speak your opinions out loud, and not stop to think that others have different opinions. Opinionated people tend to pick fights, and get in debates or arguments, because since they are so outspoken and feel so strongly about those opinions, they arent afraid to stand up for them and fight with them.

    For example:

If someone says their phone is very top of the line, an opinionated person (who did a lot of research/knows their phone is the best in its class) would step in and talk about everything about his phone and why its great, and that theirs is the best.

However, you said that most people tell others they are opinionated. Lots of people arent always opinionated, but everyone has their moments, which is what people mean. If you and I were in a debate and I wasn't backing down and I was pushing my opinions on you, you might say "youre acting so opinionated!." same goes that way.

But yea, theres my overly long definition of opinionated.

go to www.dictionary.com if you want the "official" definition, lol.

  4. To be very outspoken with your thoughts and opinions.
