I never heard the term in my life..........so somebody is dreaming he's a carpenter again..........if you mean "close" it in ..........that means windows doors.....in most cases not the siding.........that's why he uses the word "black in" he's talking with paper on the sidewalls............just be sure you are getting window and doors...........sign some paper please.


  2. it means the house is ready for interior work: roof is on, walls are sheathed, windows\doors in.

    comes from the days when blackboard was used as sheathing, and\or black tar paper used as vapor barrier.
