The past 2 dreams I have had Tuesday night and my nap today I cried in my dream because I saw my Dad.

In other dreams i have had with my Dad I was ok.

I love getting dreams of my Dad! i haven't seen him since 2006. He died in may( I talked to him on his birthday which was 5 days before) I always talked to him at his house on the phone.

Is seeing him a way of him telling me he is ok and its my way of going thru grief or is is his way of coming to me?

  1. It is your Dad telling you that he is better now and that he has made it to the other side (you can call it Heaven, Nirvana, or whatever you like), but also to let you know that you have not really "lost" him, but that from now on your communication will be different. You will have more dreams that will involve your Dad.

Crying in one's dream does happen and can be disturbing, but one feels the same emotions in dreams as in consciousness, so you just had an emotional moment, nothing to worry about.

  2. To dream that you are crying, signifies a release of negative emotions that is more likely caused by some waking situation rather than the events of the dream itself. Your dream is a way to regain some emotional balance and a way to safely let out your fears and frustrations. In our daily lives, we tend to ignore, deny, or repress our feelings. But in our dream state, our defense mechanisms are no longer on guard and thus allow for the release of such emotions.

To see and talk with your dead parents in your dreams, represents your fears of losing them or your way of coping with the loss. You may want that last opportunity to say your final good-byes to them.

To see your dead sibling, relative, or friend alive in your dream, indicates that you miss them and are trying to relive your old experiences you had with them. In trying to keep up with the pace of your daily waking life, you dreams may serve as your only outlet in coping and coming to terms with the loss of a loved one.

  3. If you dream you are crying, your mind is helping to achieve emotional balance while you sleep. You are getting out frustrations that would slow you down in your waking life.

  4. You have your memories of him in your dream. Sometimes when a dream is so good and it feels so real, and you wake up...and it's all gone. That's the most depressing part. But, sometimes It might be a sign that he's watching over you and looking down on you and maybe even talking to you through a dream.
