If you get fired what exactly does that mean in terms of this record thing? everyone says it will go on your "record",,, what is this record, where is it? is it on your criminal record? how can new/future employers know if you were fired or just resigned?

  1. It is not on "your record." It isn't like your future employers are going to run your SS# and it will show up. Just don't put the job down on your next application. Legally your previous employer can not say anything bad about you...better you don't put them down on your job.

  2. You get a job, you're fired.  Now you need another job.  You list the past job as experience.  They call your old employer and find out you were fired.

Plus a great deal of employers are now doing background checks which will show where you worked prior.

  3. to have ur employment terminated by the employer
